Understand

Actually, I prefer the word, “comprehend,” to the word, “understand.” The application of “understand” applies nicely to such things as mathematics or sentence structure. Whereas,”comprehend” is rather like saying, “comes the dawn.” To say, “I understand people,” seems much less accurate than to say, “I comprehend people.”

In the “grand scheme” of course, it doesn’t matter, but the “grand scheme” is yet another incomprehensible matter for most of us and many of us spend more time not “understanding” what awaits all of us as we go about our day not comprehending one another. To say we are all different is only partly true unless you are one of a set of twins. That is rare so that doesn’t enter into this discussion. This “race” thing is a cudgel used for political gain and does not apply to two people, different colors, who meet, get along, and color fades as friendship blossoms. It isn’t that difficult now is it?

Let’s just say that our problem has become politics and politics only comes about every two to four years. What comes about twenty-four seven is news and even news is less important by far than the “grand scheme.” It is a small and unseemly thing, the news. It has become more political than ever before and loves driving wedges between we that are stuck in the “grand scheme.” We need to comprehend this because one story told two separate and disparate ways is not the truth. Deciding which form of the story is true is the purpose of objective news. Politics is always two sided but the truth is only one sided and the job of the news is to define, correctly, which side is correct. We don’t have that because of politics.

If I have left you somewhat confused and wondering, that is the purpose of this. To think outside the box and to learn that nothing is static but ever evolving. Or, so it seems. In truth it is all the same with different technology applied to deliver it. Then you have people of different colors who say they are different when they too are the same. It is the “grand scheme,” some say God, that sees to this. It is up to us to differentiate what is the “grand scheme” and what is God. One divides, the other brings together. Simple.
