Bible

These times are foretold, the denigration of church goers, the over emphasis on self, the wars and rumors of wars. Foretold from the Old Testament through to the end of the New Testament. From Daniel to Revelations. Of course, if you are one who denigrates the bible or refuses to bring it into your life you know nothing of what it says. Mores the pity. It brings hope if read correctly. The only hope humanity has is from God. We know, or should know, that humanity is its own worst enemy. That is why Jesus came and gave His life for each one of us, living or dead.

This world as we know it is on borrowed time. The plan for the ending of this system of governments is ancient. All will be gone in a shorter time than any of us can guess. The day and the hour is known only to God. Even Jesus, God’s Son, is not privy to that hour or day. If you have even an inkling of desire as concerns learning what the bible tells us, now is the time for your involvement. Putting it off seals your fate. I know about putting it off and finding it again. The bible is the reason I am yet alive when I should have been dead thirteen years ago, through no one’s fault but my own. Yet, I lived, though nearly dead in the ambulance. I lived through Vietnam combat and got home unscathed but for my mental well being and a crushed disk of the lumbar spine.

I don’t write this as though I know it all. I write this as I know enough. Enough to understand who is at work in our world, unseen but known for war and rumor of war. Of ungodly love of self. Of immorality not seen since the times of Caligula. Rome is born again. We should stop and become aware that what we see around us is as wrong as wrong can be.

You needn’t take my word for it though. Open that good book and read it for yourself while you still have time. If I sound like a bible thumper I am not. I am one who saw the writing on the wall and knew what it said and sensed its urgency. For this I give thanks whether or not I am selected for life after death. I can only do what a seventy-seven year old man can do. This is that. And . . . you already know that the world is teetering, don’t you?
